About Us

 Cougar Engineering Services, based in the Market Town of Wantage, Oxfordshire, manufacture a wide range of Bird & Tole Air and Gas sampling products for those who require data of possible contaminated airborne particulates.

Bird & Tole have been supplying Air Sampling equipment to all types of customers from the Nuclear Industry to small Companies, Colleges and Universities for decades and was relocated to Oxfordshire when ‘Cougar Engineering Services’ became the new owners in the Autumn of 2005.

Cougar Engineering Services was founded in the spring of 1994 by Colin Littlechild after completing a successful mechanical Apprenticeship for UKAEA (1985 -1989) and a number of years working within a small team specialising in Radiological equipment (now Canberra UK Ltd.).

Cougar Engineering Services has successfully supplied mechanical support for businesses on a contract basis from the individual job to project management including manufacturing items for a local sculpture artist to long term contracts on-site.

We are proud to continue the Bird & Tole tradition of supplying a wide range of Air Sampling Products to the industry and look forward to introducing new ideas and solutions to the range. We are therefore constantly up-rating our products to meet the demand of the modern industry. Looking after the environment is a responsibility for all in the 21st Century and we therefore look forward to helping support the agencies involved with their efforts.
